Instructs the following class(es):
Hustle - BEG/INT (P), Hustle II (Int./Adv.), Salsa Beginning/Interm., Salsa Intermediate and more, Salsa Lesson and Open Dance Practice
Starting late in life, mid-2000, Elliott entered the dance world. As most newcomers – Elliott wanted to dance but not quite sure if he could. With each new move he mastered, he was hooked and fell in love with dancing. Within a year Elliott was performing in one of Sacramento’s Hottest Salsa Dance Troupes. Elliott favors and is attracted to Salsa or anything Latin and Hustle but is training and quickly learning all Ballroom dances. Geared to the novice group of learners, Elliott’s teaching style is more of a coach supporting his students’ first steps to gradually seeing them confidently dancing on their own when the music starts. Elliott says “the hardest decision for newcomers to dance is walking through the front door; you do that and I’ll be there with you the rest of the way.”

Luis “El Suave” Cáceres
Instructs the following class(es):
Argentine Tango I - BEG (P)
Ninth-born into a Limeño household of tango aficionados, Luis “El Suave” Cáceres, of Lima, Perú, has enjoyed a life immersed in the poetry of tango Argentino—the music and poetic lyrics providing a sort of balance in the tough neighborhood he came from. Tango songs framed many of his most cherished memories and account for his native understanding of the original language of tango, “Lunfardo porteño.” Luis’s first loves in the worlds of athletics and dance were fútbol and salsa; but, after discovering the passion and grace of dancing to the music of his beloved tango Argentino, fútbol and salsa became relegated to second and third places. Still, he does credit fútbol with teaching him how to be light on his feet and focus intensely on the moment. His smooth, authentic dance style is musical, expressive, and passionate.
A graduate of the Barrio Tango Teacher’s Course, Luis “El Suave” has studied with some of the best teachers in the world. His first local teacher was dancer, choreographer, Debbie Goodwin. His Argentine teachers include many greats: Hugo “El Gato” Valdez and Andrea Monti, Marcelo Solís and Romina Hahn, Nito y Elba García, El Maestro Orlando Paiva Senior, Orlando Paiva Junior y Mariana Melling, El Indio, Pampa Cortés, los Dinzel, the Rivarolas, Sebastian Arce, Oscar Mondagarán, Roberto Riobo, Chicho Frumboli, Juan Carlos Copes, the Mora Godoy School of Dance, and many others. He has enjoyed dancing in scores of memorable places: Buenos Aires, Lima; Valparaíso, Madrid, Málaga, Sevilla, Granada, Sitges, Lyon, Marseilles, Saint Emillion, Paris, and around the U.S. and México.
El Suave’s goal as a teacher is to help his students to experience the timeless beauty and passion of tango Argentino.

Martin Casillas - Instructor Exchange Program
Instructs the following class(es):
West Coast Swing Interm/Advanced
As a graduating senior from the University of California at Davis, Martin began dancing simply to relieve stress from the pressures of the UC Davis’ engineering program. It was at this point, when two things happened: He first saw the UC Davis Ballroom Dance Troupe perform a beautiful Viennese Waltz; and he was first introduced to Gwen Burton who at the time was a teaching assistant for Jere Curry’s very popular Ballroom Dance class on campus. Both of these occurrences proved instrumental, and whether it was the joy Martin experienced watching the Troupe perform…or the inspiration Gwen’s smile and dedication to dance provided…Martin was soon hooked. He joined the UC Davis Ballroom Dance Troupe, and for the next several years, performed many different Ballroom and Latin routines with the Troupe.
Along the way, he started teaching dance, and eventually was enchanted with teaching, competing in and performing one dance in particular: West Coast Swing. For more than ten years now, Martin has focused time and attention on West Coast Swing, and currently teaches intermediate and advanced level West Coast Swing classes (as well as private lessons) on behalf of Spotlight Dance & Fitness in West Sacramento and at Roseville Dance.

Step Boys Productions
Instructs the following class(es):
Step Boys - Break Dance Master Class, Step Boys - Hip Hop Master Class, Step Boys - Youth Competitive Team, Step Boys Youth Competitive Team
In the spring of 2003, a group of friends took first place in a high school talent show. Greg Saniatan, Ivan Nguyen and C-Jay Mateo performed in that competition. They are the founders of Stepboys Productions. Through the years, the Stepboys developed as a close group of friends with similar interest in break-dancing. The Stepboys became known for entertaining the crowd in very unique ways. Their diverse and unorthodox stage presence separates them from other dance crews and dance companies. They perform at many events such as dance shows, birthday celebrations and many charities across the Sacramento Region and the Bay Area; they are looking to expand their horizons. In September 27, 2008, the crew entered the “World of Dance” dance competition in Alameda, California and they took home second place. Today the group has quadrupled in size, consisting of both males and females. They will continue to grow and influence the community with their strong family values and their desire to entertain their audiences by any means necessary. The Stepboys are proud and honored to be the official dance crew of the Stepchild Foundation and Trinity P&A and we are blessed to be sponsored by Roseville Dance. We love this studio and proud to be a part of their growing success.
