Roseville Dance - Ballroom Latin Fitness Studio and our newest studio, The Dance Corner is actively seeking experienced Female and Male dance instructors for our growing studios. Our studios focus on all dance themes - Ballroom (Standard and Smooth) Latin (Int’l and Rhythm) Night Club Styles - which focuses on the social dances such as Salsa, West Coast Swing, Hustle, Nightclub Two Step, East Coast and West Coast Swing.  We also offer classes in Argentine Tango, Belly Dance, Junior Ballroom, Kids and Teens Hip Hop classes, Jazz and Lyrical Dance…etc.  All dances are available for group and private dance lessons.

Award winner at Feria Flamenca 2000, young José Gálvez is heir to the pure gipsy tradition of Cante Jondo. Gálvez was born and raised in Jerez de la Frontera, in the “flamenquísimo” Santiago neighborhood of the poet and Saeta singer, Paco Galvez. He is the nephew of the legenday Juan ‘Parilla de Jerez’; who was featured accompanying La Paquera de Jerez in Tony Gatlick’s movieVENGO.

His prodigious talents for guitar were revealed at age five, by seven he was already a “tocaor” (guitarist) in flamenco fiestas. At 14 he left school to work for the classic Spanish dance company Valladolid of Zurich. He spent the next two years touring Europe and enriching his musical knowledge. This led him to Madrid where he began to accompany Flamenco dance as a ‘Cantaor’ (singer) and collaborated with Gerardo Nuñez, Carmen Cortez, Monolete, Alejandro Granados, and Domingo Ortega to name a few.

In 1997 he was featured on the compilation “Jerez Joven por Bulerias” (out of print) produced by the legendary guitarist,‘Moraito’. In 1999 he recorded his first solo album “Bohemio de Amor”. His works attracted local and National attention employing him with artists such as Alejandro Sanz, Juaquin Cortez, and Antonio Canales

Jose’s latest recording, “Gálvez & the National Orchestra of Nowheristan was recorded with the multi cultural “National Orchestra of Nowheristan”.
Jose lives in Jerez de la Frontera. He currently plays traditional and fusion flamenco at numerous festivals and concerts around Spain.

Last year’s Spring Fever Showcase was a hit! This year we want to top that!

Although, May 22nd is a tentative date for now, we are preparing for a showcase like never before.  It will be held at an outside venue, with a sit down dinner, professional couples from around the U.S. and of course of very own great Pro-Am dancers.
